Good evening- I just wanted to give a brief update on what has taken place over the past couple months as I prepare to start my education at Appalachian State Univ and pray over what has been going on in the US recently. I plan to follow up with more posts in the future and hope to blog regularly in the months ahead. However, this summer has been a time of listening to God and seeing what He is doing even during these challenging times.
So, I am now back in the Boone, NC community after four years in Hickory at Lenoir-Rhyne. With my first home church and former elementary / middle school located in Boone, the town played a significant role in fostering / growing my faith over the years. As the coronavirus lockdowns eased, I reunited with many friends who live in the Boone area, which is terrific. God is placing strong disciplemaking communities in Boone also!
With this in mind, please pray for the LORD to work in Boone. Pray that I will use my time here in Boone to make disciples and deepen my talent for geography / maps. God has also been working and guiding me through some personal seasons of growth during this time. Yet it has also been a fruitful time as well. He is teaching me that even during the most chaotic times of uncertainty, true peace is found by focusing and looking towards Him…
